A Riverside man was arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Friday, July 26 in Clay County.
Franklyn A. Edwards, 53, is facing three charges: felony driving while intoxicated, lane violation and excessive speeding. He was detained at 1:49 a.m. and was transported to the Riverside Police Department.
No formal charges have been filed in Platte County as of Monday, July 29.

Megan L. Bircher Waterman, 22, of Kansas City, Mo., was arrested for fourth-degree assault on July 18 in Platte County.
Charity L. Lautenschlager, 47, of Parkville, was arrested for driving while intoxicated, failure to drive within a single lane, failure to display valid plates, driving without insurance and going 81 in a 55 miles per hour zone on July 17 in Clay County.
Justin M. Burnett, 32, of Grain Valley, Mo., was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance (heroin); possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant from the Missouri State Highway Patrol on July 21 in Platte County.
Eric R. Hazen, 31, of Dallas, Texas, was arrested on a felony warrant from Crawford (Kan.) County on July 21 in Platte County.
