Road work will close Hwy. 152 lanes into September

In addition to ongoing road closures in the southern end of the county at Interstate 29, Highway 169 and Highway 9, another round of road work will soon bring traffic diversions to the middle of the county.

Crews will complete paving and resurfacing work on Highway 152 between Interstate 435 and I-29 requiring the following closures.

This work is part of the pavement resurfacing project on Hwy. 152 from Highway N to the west side of I-29. All work is weather permitting.

Crews closed the eastbound and westbound lanes of Hwy. 152 between I-435 and I-29 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. (overnight) through Friday, Sept. 16. This is not a complete closure and one lane eastbound and one lane westbound will remain open at all times.

In addition, work will take place on the following on and off ramps. The off ramps will be closed first, and once work is completed on the off ramps the on ramps will then be closed.

Hampton Road on and off ramps at Hwy. 152, 7 p.m.-6 a.m. (overnight) from Aug. 14-Aug. 15.

Amity Avenue at Hwy. 152, 7 p.m.-6 a.m. (overnight) from Aug. 15-Aug. 17.

Congress Avenue at Hwy. 152, 7 p.m.-6 a.m. (overnight) from Aug. 17- Aug. 18.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike.
