Searcey
The Platte County School District and Dr. Chad Searcey have parted ways after 15 years.
On Friday, Aug. 30, the district announced the board of education approved terms of separation with the long time administrator for the district, most recently the principal at Compass Elementary.
Searcey had been on paid leave since June following a tweet deemed inappropriate by the administration.
Searcey will get $275,000.
The agreement reached includes provisions in which neither party can discuss what led up to the agreement to end Searcey’s tenure.
The press release issued by the school at 8:30 p.m. on Friday noted neither Searcey or the board of education will make any further comments on the agreement.
