Six cars stolen at Platte City Dodge dealership

The Platte City Police Department is investigating a break-in and theft of six vehicles from the Dodge dealership in the city.

According to a statement from police, an officer noticed an open garage bay door around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at Airport Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, located at 2605 Prairie View Road. Upon investigation, the officer discovered the door had been forced open.

The Platte County Sheriff’s Office responded with a canine officer and the building was searched with no suspects found inside.

During the investigation and inventory, six vehicles were found to be stolen. They are, a black 2019 Dodge Charger Scat Pack, red 2019 Dodge Durango GT, black 2018 Dodge Challenger SXT, red 2017 Dodge Charger RT, white 2017 Chrysler 300 and a black 2014 Dodge Challenger.
