After getting to the .500 mark, Platte County has dropped five straight heading into the final games of the season.
The Pirates dropped three straight game over a three-game stretch, the most recently on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at Liberty North, 47-31.
The Class 5 team held a slim 10-8 lead after a quarter against Platte County and led by five at halftime. In the second half, the Eagles limited Platte County (8-13) to 10 points.
Amaya Blake scored 11 for the Pirates, who were playing without guard Reese Pickett due to illness.

Staley 40, Park Hill South 38
Morgan Ferrera hit a shot at the buzzer to lift the Falcons to a win on Friday, Feb. 14 against the Panthers in a Suburban Conference Red Division game.
The teams were tied at 30 going into the fourth quarter but the Falcons got a 3-pointer from Lindenwood signee Gracie Neff and then Ferrara scored all five of her points in the final 8 minutes.
Cara Sparks scored all five of her points in the fourth for the Panthers, which dropped a third straight game. Jayme Dixon scored nine to pace the offense for Park Hill South (8-14).
Grandview 54, Platte County 45
Cierra Smith scored 30 points to help the Bulldogs beat the Pirates in a Suburban Conference Blue Division game on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
The contest came down to the fourth quarter, as the Bulldogs scored 22 points in the final 8 minutes. Going into the fourth, Grandview led 32-31 after rallying from a 22-19 halftime deficit.
Amaya Blake scored 19 points for Platte County, the only other player in double figures besides Smith.
Smith had 10 in the fourth quarter for Grandview, winners of four straight.
Smithville 56, Platte County 39
The Pirates ran into a hot Warriors squad, who won a sixth straight game — three in divisional play — in this victory on Monday, Feb. 10 in Platte City.
The Warriors (15-6) limited Platte County to 10 or less in three of the four quarters. Smithville led 28-18 at halftime behind 10 points from Christina Walsh and eight points from Emma Chevalier.
Walsh finished with a game-high 20, while Chevalier had 17.
Sophomore Amaya Blake led the Pirates with 19 points, while freshman Peyton Akins had nine.
Park Hill 69, Lee’s Summit 41
The Trojans won their third straight game and matched last year’s win total with a victory on Monday, Feb. 10 in Lee’s Summit.
Park Hill scored 20 points in each of the first quarter and built a 19-point lead at halftime against the Tigers.
Four players scored in double figures for the Trojans (14-7), led by 22 from Kennedy Townsend. She hit four 3-pointers, grabbed nine rebounds and had two steals.
Teresa Thomas had 15 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double for Park Hill. Also scoring in double figures was DQ Guillory (12) and Jordan Austin (10).
Liberty 38, Park Hill South 10
In a low-scoring contest the Class 5 No. 1-ranked Blue Jays won at home on Monday, Feb. 10.
Liberty (22-0) held Park Hill South scoreless in the first and led 16-3 at halftime.
Brooke Jones scored five to lead the offense for Park Hill South.
Northwest Missouri State signee Jillian Fleming scored a game-high 11 points for Liberty.
