Filings for the April municipal and school board election closed Tuesday, Jan. 21. The election will be held Tuesday, April 7, with the late day for voter registration on Wednesday, March 11.
PLATTE CITY
Long-time alderman Tony Paolillo will face David Sharp for mayor, as incumbent Frank Offutt chose not to file for re-election. In Ward I, incumbent James Everett is unopposed; Ward II, Troy Miller, unopposed; and Ward III, incumbent Debbie Kirkpatrick.
PARKVILLE
Municipal judge Kevin Humiston is unopposed. In Ward I, incumbent Tina Welch faces Patricia Robinson; Ward II, incumbent Dave Rittman faces Brett Krause; Ward III, incumbent Robert Lock faces Doug Bias Jr.; alderman Marc Sportsman is unopposed in Ward IV.
WESTON
In Ward I incumbent Rebecca Rooney is unopposed for re-election and the same is true in Ward II, where incumbent James Lowe is unopposed as well.
RIVERSIDE
Mayor Kathy Rose is unopposed for her position. In Ward I, incumbent Mike Fuller will face Marilee Cockrell; Ward II, Jill Hammond is unopposed for re-election; Ward III, Nathan Cretsinger is unopposed for re-election.
PLATTE COUNTY R-3
Terms expire for Sharon Sherwood, Buffy Smith and Gwendolyn Cooke. Sherwood and Smith filed for re-election. Bobby Vann also filed for election, taking the third open seat. Platte County will not hold an election.
WEST PLATTE
Terms expire for Antonio Cutolo-Ring, Shane Bartee and Ron Rowe. All have filed for re-election, joined by Dr. Matthew Parker and Dr. Phillip Pattison.
PARK HILL
Terms expire for Scott Monsees, Bart Klein and Janice Bolin. All have filed for re-election with no other filings. Park Hill will not hold an election.
NORTH PLATTE
Terms expire for Bennett French, Kevin Vernon and Stephanie Snook. French has filed for re-election. Jeffrey Hinton, Jennifer Hernandez and James Kubly have also filed.
