TIFFANY GREENS – The Park Hill girls’ golf team had four of the five best finishers in the Lady Trojans’ triangular victory over Platte County and Pembroke Hill at Tiffany Greens Golf Course on Sept. 13.
Park Hill and Platte County were in a tighter race with each other than third-place Pembroke Hill which ended with 108 strokes. The Lady Trojans finished 20 strokes lower than the Lady Pirates with 160 total.
Ruby Bell was playing in sixth for Park Hill but ended with a triangular best 36 strokes, coming away with a first-place finish. Makenna Kincheloe and Layni Grego tied for third place with 41 strokes and Rhea Akula was one place and one stroke behind those two.
Ella Green led the way for Platte County, earning second place overall with 41 strokes. Lilly Ricketts earned sixth place with 42 strokes.
Park Hill’s Kate Martorana and Platte County’s Mac Borland finished back-to-back in eighth and ninth places. Only one Pembroke Hill golfer placed in the top-9, as the Lady Raiders had four of the last six finishers.
Grace Handke and Izzie Grell finished in 11th and 15th places, respectively, for the Lady Pirates. Platte County will compete against the Lady Falcons at Staley Farms Golf Club, while Park Hill will be back at Tiffany Greens to take on Park Hill South on senior night on Sept. 20.
