The Park Hill softball team was held without any hits or runs in the Trojans’ 10-0 loss to Lee’s Summit North on Sept. 14.
The contest only lasted four innings and started off slow. The Broncos scored one run in the bottom of the first inning before erupting for nine runs and eight hits in the third and fourth innings.
The Trojan defense had two errors in the contest opposed to the Broncos having no errors. Kamree Davis was the starting pitcher for Park Hill and the junior was relieved by senior Cadence Sackuvich after the third inning.
Lee’s Summit North scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning and Park Hill couldn’t answer when it was on offense. Trailing 4-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning, the Trojans gave up six more runs to fall 10-0.
After the first two Lee’s Summit North batters were walked in the inning, the Broncos had three consecutive hits to score four more runs. Park Hill allowed two hits and two runs from that point for the deficit to reach 10 runs.
After starting the season off strong by winning five of its first seven contests, Park Hill has now lost four straight games. The Trojans are under .500 with a 5-6 record and are heading to Blue Springs on Sept. 23 for their next game.
