Lady Trojans stun Staley at home

Ella Nelson and Nia Muniz led the Park Hill girls’ soccer team (3-10) past Staley for the first time in the regular season since 2016 on April 25.

The Lady Trojans have eliminated the Lady Falcons in districts four times since 2016, but has been unable to reach that accomplishment in the regular season in quite some time. Nelson and Muniz both scored goals on the day to lift Park Hill to a 2-0 victory.

The Lady Trojans have now won three of their last five games after a 0-8 start. After taking down Blue Springs (1-12) on senior night on April 12, Park Hill lost 2-0 at Liberty (8-6) on April 14.

The Lady Trojans bounced back in their next game, taking down St. Joseph’s Central (6-6) 2-0 on April 19.

Park Hill struggled against an undefeated Liberty North squad (11-0) on April 21 when the Lady eagles won 8-0. Park Hill will head to Raymore-Peculiar (5-5-1) on April 29.
