Following an 11-9 finish last fall, the Park Hill South boy’s soccer team has had a rough beginning to the 2021 season, losing five of its first six games.
The Panthers opened up their season at Rockhurst on Aug. 27 and were shut-out, while giving up four goals. The Panthers bounced back and won their home opener when they defeated Lee’s Summit West 2-1 on Aug. 31.
After reaching a .500 record at 1-1, Park Hill South failed to score in its next two games. The Panthers lost to Olathe Northwest 3-0 and Olathe East 1-0.
On Sept. 8, the Panthers fell to the Blue Jays when Liberty won 2-1. Lee’s Summit gave Park Hill South its fourth straight loss when the Tigers beat the Panthers 2-0 on Sept. 3.
After four consecutive games on the road, Park Hill South will be back at home when they host Staley on Sept. 15.
