In the closing two minutes of the first quarter, Mid-Buchanan ran into the end zone again to retake a 14-7 lead. West Platte responded when Cogan connected with his favorite early season target, Kohen Kite, for a 25-yard touchdown pass but the PAT was no good.

Nearly two quarters passed before the Blue Jays scored again as the Dragons took advantage of turnovers. West Platte forced another interception, but fumbled on the ensuing play and Mid-Buchanan took it the other way for six before adding another score late in the first half to be up 27-19 at the break.
Mid-Buchanan scored the only third quarter touchdown on a pass by Ian Wegenka before things got out of hand in the fourth quarter. On a kickoff following an 11-yard rushing touchdown by Wegenka, West Platte had another fumble that was picked up by Mid-Buchanan and taken the distance.
Trailing 48-19, West Platte finally put another touchdown on the board when Canton Wilkins brought in a 2-yard pass from Cogan. Mid-Buchanan put the game away with two more touchdowns late, coming out with a 62-25 victory.
