Finishing the fall with similar endings and records, the Park Hill (14-11-1) and Park Hill South volleyball teams (16-19) had multiple players earn all-conference and all-district awards.
With both teams being in the Kansas City Suburban Conference Silver Division and in the Class 5 District 8 Tournament, Park Hill and Park Hill South both saw their season’s end in the semifinals. The Lady Panthers had six players earn postseason honors, while the Lady Trojans had four players.
Isabel Day made the first team in both the Silver Division and the Class 5 District 8 Tournament for Park Hill South. The senior ended her final season with 31 aces on a 96.4 serving percentage, 75 kills on a 26.2 percent rate and 57 assists.
Day also had a team-high 627 receptions and scoring 184 points, along with setting the Park Hill South single season record of 636 digs. The Lady Panther senior was also one of 30 athletes from all across Class 5 to earn all-state honors.
Sydni Lafasciano was the only other Lady Panther to be on the all-district first team, and she also made the all-conference second team. Lafasciano finished her freshman campaign with a team-high 353 digs, 372 kills and 37 aces.
Senior Tatum Kells made her way onto the second team in the Silver Division and the Class 5 District 8 Tournament. Kells ended the regular season with 59 blocks and 159 kills, along with five kills and three blocks in the postseason.
Camryn Ludtke made the all-district second team and was an all-conference honorable mention. The senior capped off her Park Hill South career with a team-high 558 assists – averaging 5.4 assists per game – along with 187 digs.
Peyton Liming joined Ludtke as a Silver Division Honorable Mention when the sophomore had 225 kills, 111 digs, 96 receptions, 12 blocks and eight aces throughout the season. Caroline Wengler was a Class 5 District 8 Honorable Mention after the junior had 17 kills, two blocks, two digs and an ace in districts.
For Park Hill, Shaye Koski ended her prolific Lady Trojan career with a pair of first team selections in the Silver Division and the Class 5 District 8 Tournament, along with making an all-regional team selection and being the Evelyn Gates Award Winner. Koski finished the fall with 403 kills, 284 receptions, 280 digs, 19 blocks and 17 aces.
Devin Hoover and Emily Watson were both on the second team in the conference and in districts. Hoover ended the season with 246 digs, 168 kills and 40 aces, while Watson wrapped up her junior campaign with 324 digs, 63 assists and 22 aces. Emily Pella had 390 assists, 130 digs and 14 aces to be a Silver Division and Class 5 District 8 Honorable Mention.
