The North Platte Panthers had three runners medal at the Missouri Class 2 Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Gans Creek in Columbia.
North Platte junior Drake Keraus finished fifth in the boys’ race with a time of 17:08.3 to lead the team, and the girls’ team had two Top 10 finishes by junior Chloe Heckman, who finished third with a time of 19:27.8, and senior Brianna DeBord, who finished sixth with a time of 19:55.4.
Both of North Platte’s teams finished sixth overall. Other boys’ runners finishing the race included freshman Bill Schaffart, who finished 38th with a time of 18:24.0, followed by junior Hunter Palmer, who finished 59th with a time of 18:47.2, freshman Trey Heckman, who finished 78th with a time of 19:25.0, sophomore Devin Navarro who finished 102nd with a time of 19:45.9, freshman Farris French who finished with a time of 24:27.4, and junior Galen Christiansen who finished with a time of 25:19.3.
In the girls’ race, other runners finishing included sophomore Annabell DeBord, who finished 50th with a time of 21:57.3, freshman Farrah Williams with a time of 24:16.6, junior Graci Williams, who finished with a time of 24:18.1, and junior Lily Schaffart who finished with a time of 25:31.9.
