INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — The Park Hill and Park Hill South boys golf teams finished in ninth and 10th place, respectively, in the Independence Invitational at the par-72 Drumm Farm Golf Course on Monday, March 20.
The Trojans, led by Garrett Raynor, edged the Panthers 358-354 in the 26-team golf invite. Raynor carded an 85 for 33rd place to pace Park Hill, who finished five points behind eighth-place finisher St. Joseph Central.
Kevin Ryan turned in an 87 to lead Park Hill South for a four-way tie for 35th place, which also included Park Hill second-place finisher Christian Burr.
Vince King of Park Hill and Jay Threadgill of Park Hill South both clubbed 89s for 39th place, while Blaine Feaste of South finished with a 90 for 40th. Carson Dodd carded a 92 to round out the Panthers’ scoring.
Park Hill South brought its junior varsity squad to the invite, taking 17th place. Sterling Scott turned in a 93 as South’s first JV finisher. Evan Jones and Phen Hardin finished with a 107 and 108, respectively.
Park Hill and Park Hill South are both back in action at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Deuce at the National Golf Club in Parkville. Raymore-Peculiar and Liberty North will also attend.
