Platte County freshman Jaydon Walls, center, competed and won the 192-pound division at Adidas Nationals at Silverstein Eyes Center in Independence, Mo.
Walls got a pin against Colton Ashcraft of Summit Tennessee in the second period of the quarterfinals. Moving on to semifinals, Walls scored a 29 second pin over Raymond Robinson of Butler, Mo.
In the finals, Walls faced Levid Rodriguez of Johnson Central, KY. The two battled hard for three periods that ended in a 4-4 tie. In overtime, Walls scored two points that ended the match and won 6-4.
