West Platte took 14th and had two wrestlers medal at the Sam Martin Invitational held on Saturday, Jan. 18 in Plattsburg.
Jacob Brown took fifth for the Bluejays, going 2-1 on the day. He won his last two, including a pin over Lander Ricks of Lawson in the fifth-place match.
Cameron Williams (145) lost his fifth-place match against Parker Chamberlain of South Harrison by a pin. He was 3-2 overall.
Maysville 34, West Platte 18
The Bluejays lost a dual to the Wolverines in a dual on Thursday, Jan. 16 in Maysville.
The Wolverines won all four of the contested matches. West Platte got its 18 points on forfeits to Josh Brown (113), Tristan Newkirk (120) and Peyson Chandler (126).
Maysville had three forfeit wins as well.
Mid-Buchanan 57, South Harrison 15

The Dragons got five total wins from North Platte students to help pick up victories on Thursday, Jan. 16 in Bethany.
Against the host Bulldogs, Aden Woolard (182) and JP Hartigan (285) each got wins by forfeits, while Seth Cruz (195) got a 5-1 decision against Braden Spurling.
Facing Holden, Hartigan got another forfeit win, while Cruz beat Dylan Guinn due to injury time limit default.
Lathrop 57, West Platte 18
Lawson 78, West Platte 6
In a KCI showdown, the Bluejays got only four wins in two duals on Tuesday, Jan. 14 in a home match in Weston.
Facing Lathrop, West Platte took a 6-3 lead after David Brown (152) got a forfeit win, but the Mules then won six straight to pull away for good. Josh Brown (113) and Peyson Chandler (126) added the other wins for West Platte against the Mules, both coming on forfeits.
Lathrop won five of the six matches that were contested. Chandler got a pin over Attecuas Eskew-Saul in 1:03 for the lone win against Lawson.
