The Pirates ended with 137 points with three separate teams. Parker Amos and Braden Hendee tied in second place with 66 points.

“We finally had some pretty decent weather and we tried to capitalize on it,” Platte County head boys’ golf coach Trevor Short said. “We were able to get our entire team of 17 players out on the course and it was great to see them in action.”

Jackson Gabbert and Ben Gillilan ended with 71 strokes to claim 9th place. Josh Gentilia and Josh Knickman had 75 strokes to tie for 16th place.

“We had a few challenging shots, but we also had some amazing ones as well. We’re very proud of how hard the team is working and pushing each other to be the best golfers possible,” Short said.

Park Hill and Park Hill South also competed in the Pirate Scramble as the Trojans finished with 163 strokes and the Panthers ended with 149 strokes. Park Hill South’s Matthew Parker and Nathan Verachtert tied for seventh place with 69 strokes.
